In UCC we believe in educating the whole person - this means offering students the opportunity to take part in character-forming and developmental activities outside of academic study. The numerous student Societies on campus offer our students the chance to get involved in activities ranging from charitable work to entertainment, debating and leisure pursuits.

At present there are 85 Societies serving the campus community. The activities of these Societies range from high profile intercollegiate competitions to community outreach schemes. There are many other events, which arise out of the creativity of the students themselves such as WARPcon - the largest War Gaming Conference in Ireland or even Battle of the DJs which pits student DJ against student DJ in a mix off competition. Exciting and creative events such as these offer many worthwhile benefits to our students: they develop leadership, organisational ability and social skills.

Why Do We Need You?

UCC Societies aim to promote healthy lifestyle options for our students. In this context, we are replacing the traditional alcohol companies sponsorship for our Societies with more positive and progressive brand images such as yours. For Societies to operate effectively significant funding is required.

Why Do You Need Us?

There are a variety of sponsorship opportunities available to companies who would like to support what we are trying to do, while at the same time obtaining exposure to over 16,000 young consumers ranging in age from late teens to early twenties. By sponsoring a student Society or by offering a more general sponsorship, your company can benefit from being associated with worthwhile student activities.
